UMBALooking to support UMBA? That’s great, because we could really use your help!
We’re a registered non-profit society that advocates and maintains mountain bike trails in the Ucluelet area. We’re entirely volunteer-driven, so please consider buying a membership, making a donation, or both.
Currently, there are four main ways to contribute:
Membership fees allow you to participate in UMBA sanctioned events: dig-days, group rides, races, and parties. The more support we can get, the more work we can get done.
A portion of your membership fee will also go towards helping us pay for the society’s insurance. Having insurance allows us to establish land-use agreements, and it protects the society and volunteers.
We have a very small base of local riders, compared to many mountain bike associations — so we’re really hoping you’ll financially contribute and help us get things off the ground.
If you ride the local trails now and/or would like to see more trails in the near future, please become a member!

Maybe you’d prefer to make a one-time (or many times!) donation.
Maybe you’re just passing through town and want to ride the trails, or you’d like to see some more trails built for your next visit… We think of this as ‘Trail Karma.’
Or maybe you’ve already bought a membership, but you’re just feeling flush with cash and want to help keep things rolling.
Either way, we appreciate anything you can offer up. It’ll go to good things — like trail advocacy (and shovels).
(Unfortunately, we can’t issue tax receipts at this time as we’re not registered as a charity.)
